3:30 - 4:30:
Networking 101 Tutorial (Optional)
Early registration will start at 3:15. The Ryerson Career and Co-op Centre will be holding an optional Networking 101 Tutorial at 3:30 pm at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, to provide feedback on how to best communicate with employers and leave you mark.
4:30 - 5:00:
Registration & Dinner
General registration will open at 4:15. All attendees must sign-in to the event at the registration table on the main floor (by the Starbucks). You will receive an event pamphlet and get your seat for the networking rotations. After signing-in, enjoy a delicious buffet-style dinner, with options for all dietary restrictions. Complimentary coat check will be provided.
5:00 - 5:10:
Opening Remarks
Dr. Ori Rotstein, VP of Research and Innovation at Unity Health Toronto, Dr. Naomi Adelson, Associate VP of Research and Innovation at Ryerson University, as well as Michael Shulman, the Founder and Director for Biomed-IN, will be giving their opening remarks to welcome all companies, researchers, students and staff to our event.
5:10 - 5:40:
Keynote by Ran Manor, Director of Innovation, Baycrest Hospital
Ran is an exceptional entrepreneur and professional with experience in both Israel’s and Canada’s biomedical sectors. He will discuss his perspective on the similarities and differences between both ecosystems and what students can take away from this global perspective of how biomedical innovation is done in different parts of the world.
5:40 - 6:10:
The Future of Healthcare: A Multidisciplinary Panel Discussion
Professionals from all across Toronto’s biomedical field will discuss hot topics surrounding the future of healthcare and what students should look out for in the 2020’s. The panellists include:

Networking Rotations - Medical Technology and Medical Sciences Streams
Attendees will have the opportunity to have group discussions with a wide array of industry representatives and researchers throughout 4 10-minute round-table rotations in either the medical technology or medical sciences streams. Template networking questions will be provided to spark conversations, but attendees may ask professionals any of their burning questions.
7:15 - 8:00:
Open Floor Networking
Attendees can approach any of the 25 professionals in attendance as well as follow up with them on future hiring opportunities as indicated in the event pamphlet.
